While Thebility Software Solutions does produce proprietary code, much of our work is contributed to Free/Open Source Software projects. This reduces costs by leveraging existing code, and future-proofs our clients' investments, by encouraging subsequent community-driven improvements.
Scanner Access Now Easy (SANE)
SANE provides the standard suite of scanner drivers used on nearly all Unix-like systems. TSS is heavily involved in the administration of SANE, and also provides drivers, including:
- cardscan for Corex Cardscan C800 machines
- canon_dr for Canon DR-series scanners
- epjitsu for Epson-based Fujitsu machines
- fujitsu for Fujitsu fi- and M-series
- kodak for larger Kodak i-series scanners
qplocal
Qplocal is a group of spam fighting plugins for the qpsmtpd email server software. Qplocal gives administrators fine-grained control and ease-of-use. If you like Perl and regular expressions, qplocal is for you!
GPL Optical Mark Recognition (gomr)
Originally designed to score student 'bubble' testing sheets at high speed, gomr has also been used to count ballots, tabulate surveys and read Code 39 barcodes, all from low resolution binary images.
